Some people believe you can learn Persian by only speaking, not reading or writing. I am not among them, though. I strongly believe nobody likes to be illiterate in any language. That's why I divide the first sessions of my classes into two parts. First, using original videos we learn the alphabet step by step, then we go to the book starting learning Persian through conversations and picture descriptions.
Besides the mentioned videos, at each lesson, you learn a number of letters, with which we have to make words. We use these verbs to make simple Persian sentences.
The overall goal of the first step is to be able to:
introduc e yourself and your friends,
Tal k about your nationality and ask other people about theirs
Ask yes/no questions
ta lk about your job
talk about your family
descr ibe your place
use present and past simple
When you have mastered this level, we will move on to more sophisticated and complex notions.
In order to learn a language, we have to refer to the culture as well. That's why in each lesson you would learn some cultural notes about the situation.
I also use illustrative pictures to show you the country Iran, and talk about its history, where necessary.

I run my courses by books, but I don't only rely on them. For each level, A1 to C2, I have chosen the proper books and prepared original reliable podcasts (targeting improvement in listening skill), songs, original videos ( teaching delicate grammatical notes), videos from famous Iranian series and movies (to practice dubbing the characters) and many other sources.
The main problem in teaching Persian is the lack of audio-visual sources. That's why I have produced professional, high-quality podcasts and grammar videos, using modern technology, to recover this deficit.
Each podcast has an interesting, modern topic, with level-based numbers of vocabulary. The language of the podcasts is all understandabl e Persian. Although the speed of speech is slow, the language that is used is completely normal.
