Teaching Approach

I use the TEFL method of teaching. Auto-lingual approach: sentence patterns repeated; Behaviorist method: the habit of speaking English regularly; Communicative method: communication is the primary goal; Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL): teach other subjects using the English Language (Current Events); Dogme: casual discussion of different topics; Grammar Translation (translate English to Mother Tongue and Vice-Versa); Inductive vs. Deductive (reading and speaking comprehension ); Task-Based Language Learning: use the English language to experience real-life situations (travel); Total Physical Response (TPR): using the entire body to learn how to speak English

I teach students how to speak conversationa l English.

Teaching Experience

I have experience teaching English to people of all ages in my community. The organization I belong to is SWET (Society of Writers, Editors, and Translators).

Teacher Training

I have a TEFL certificate (120 hours) which makes me certified to teach the English language to others. Also, I am working towards my Bachelor in Arts (B.A.) degree in Liberal Studies (focus on foreign languages: French and Spanish), and my minor is in Asian Languages (focus on Japanese). My university is Oregon State University (OSU), based in Corvallis, Oregon, USA. I attend the university online.
