The main feature of this programs is the total focus on the student's goals. It will be his/her rythm to decide the progress in learning, although I will gently push for obtaining results. Learning materials and texts will be chosen according to the student's preferences in subjects such as music, movies, sports, etc.
For a beginner the program will allow him/her to obtain the basic language skills necessary to, for example, make him/her self understood when travelling in Italy, asking for informations, reading instructions, menus, signals, and speaking about simple subjects. It will be the equivalent of an A1 and A2 level (European framework);
For an intermediate student the program will develop the use of grammar and vocabulary in order to perform a richer expression of opinions, both spoken and written, a wider comprehension of texts and situations. It will also focus on italian culture. This level is the equivalent to a B1 and a B2;
Advanced level of italian will include the conversation about current subjects, the use of the different forms of written and spoken speech, readings of poetry and of other literary texts and the creation of texts for business and/or personal contexts.
Al l the programs will follow an interactive approach to the italian language, the use of videos, games, songs and other materials in a pleasant and light way.

Program Description

Each lesson will last preferably 1H30m and once per week as minimum, but this may vary according to the students' schedules and learning pace.
For each level the program will be divided in modules of 30 hours each module.
Arra ngements can be made to prepare the student to submit to a certification exam of , for example, proficiency in the use of italian as a foreign language, delivered by an italian institution.

Teaching Experience

I have six years of experience teaching italian on live classes and five years teaching online, to adult students, at university and at a private school language.
|
Teacher Training
|
|
|
Although I was born in Portugal, my father's family is italian.
I obtained the CELI certificate (knowledge of italian as a foreign language) level C2 from the University of Perugia, in Italy, and I also obtained the FILIM Diploma from the Ca' Foscari University, in Venice, Italy, which certifies my studies to be able to teach italian as a foreign language.
