Teaching Approach

My approach will be student-speci fic. This includes practise lessons, homework etc depending on the student's needs. I do not believe in one-for-all approaches and I think that every method has to be tailor made according to the need of the student and their level of proficiency. My basic tip for anyone wanting to learn a foreign language would be " Practice every day like you have a test the next day", because consistency is key. Without practice, every day will feel like the first day. Your best friends are books and pens-keep writing.

Program Description

I love the Malayalam language, it being my first language. Since being in Canada, I have come across a lot of people that need help with basic Malayalam (native speakers who grew up not speaking it and people who want to learn a new language.) This will also help keep my proficiency at a desired level. I love reading Malayalam books- preferrably history and epic related ones. I am proficient in Malayalam and English and if you are looking for someone to help you start from scratch, I am the person for you. I can help answer your questions and clear any related questions. My father is an ardent reader of Malayalam books and has been my inspiration all along. I want to be part of any initiative that would help keep our language thriving in a foreign country like Canada.

Teaching Experience

I have taught a lot of members in my own family and my neighbourhood growing up. I also have worked alongside my classmates in university both in India and in Canada.

Teacher Training

I have learned Malayalam academically for about 12 years- reading, writing, speaking, poetry, excepts and been part of multiple literary competitions. I have a strong command over grammar and written Malayalam.

I can work 2 days a week- preferrably Sundays and Mondays but I am very flexible.
Pa yments can be accepted via interact or bank transfer.
My experience comes from providing lessons to elementary kids and peers in both Canada and India.
