I enjoy using conversation about everyday topics to help improve language and grammar skills. I found this to be the most effective way to learn Slovak and Czech. What makes my lessons unique would probably be the fact that I am a native English speaker who has lived in another country for almost half of my life, making me very aware of the challenges and triumphs that come with learning a new language.

Program Description

Unless I get a regular student, I do not plan to have a lesson plan. Instead, I hope to use conversation to help develop my students' language skills. I also use conversation to point out any grammar mistakes they might have. Through this somewhat simple but usually quite effective method, I try to engage my students by letting them discuss the topics they feel are more important to them personally instead of having each person go through the same process.

Teaching Experience

While I do not have any experience in a one-on-one tutoring situation, I have taught English at several English camps in Slovakia and the Czech Republic to children. I have participated in an adult's English class and have helped engage students throughout the sessions.

I do not have any college degree or diploma, but I will graduate high school and start college this fall. I have taken several honors and college-credi t English courses to help boost my skills in that area.

Teaching Schedule:
I do not have a specific school schedule and can teach at most times during the day. Since I live in Slovakia, I am 6 hours ahead of EST, 1 hour ahead of London. I may have time during Saturdays, though that might need to be evaluated on a weekly basis. No lessons on Sundays.
P ayment Policy:
I will most likely use Paypal, but I can modify payment methods as necessary.
Relevant experiences:
