I have been tutor-ing foreign students for two years now; most of them are Koreans, Japanese, and other Asians. I do not completely believe in the traditional, sit-down, classroom-typ e tutorial because if you want to be good English speaker and an exellent conversationa list, you have to expose yourself to the outside world, communicate with 'real' people and not just your teacher. But if you also want to be tutored traditionally (example: sit-down, classroom-typ e), that would be also fine, since I have materials that are important for that.

Program Description

I am not a traditional English tutor. Unlike the usual classroom-typ e tutorial, I take my students out. Well, of course, I also do indoor tutorial. But when I feel that my student is already familiar with basic English, that is the time I'm going to take the tutorial outside (example: to the mall, anywhere where there's a lot of people). Taking the students out is, I think, the best way to hasten their mastery of the language; to expose them and to practice what they have learned in your indoor sessions.

Teaching Experience

I have been tutoring foreign students and little kids for the past two years. I used to study at the Silliman University in Dumaguete City, where there's a lot of foreign students. Most of my students there were Koreans, Japanese, Burmese, and Iranians. Since I'm a freelance tutor and do not belong to any tutorial service agency, of course I charge less.

I used to be an English Major in college for two years, and then I shifted to Political Science, a course that demands their students to be good, if not excellent, English speakers. I am also a freelance writer, a debater and orator.
