Teaching Approach

I prefer to call myself Swahili learning partner supporting colleagues interested in Swahili via online style. To ensure a good understanding of my student I organize my lessons following the following popular books "Teach Yourself Swahili © Hassan O. Ali & Ali M. Mazrui". Also together with my students, we organize lessons using on their objectives. So it's more of the conversationa l methodology.

Program Description

First of all, I am not a professional Swahili teacher. however, I am a native Swahili speaker with good English command. Also, I am new in this world of teaching Swahili, I decided to take this step as part of helping others. I see so much need comparing to a number of teachers offering Swahili courses online. Currently, I am in Japan where I started these teaching activities due to increasing needs particularly by volunteers who are going to Africa

Teaching Experience

I worked with voluntary services overseas in Tanzania where I was privately supporting volunteers to improve their Swahili language while working in the country.

Teacher Training

I don't have any professional training on teaching Swahili, however, I learned Swahili as a subject in school for more than 10 years + I am Tanzanian (Swahili native speaker)
