I have over 30 years of teaching experience. My students say I am very approachable, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I can adapt to new situations easily. I am a native-Englis h speaking American who was taught to speak American English correctly. My desire is to pass this on to my students. Additionally, I teach reading and writing. Although I have plenty of certification s and experience, my basic philosophy is to find what works best for each student and then build on that. This requires spending time getting to know each other and developing a basic plan. Once a plan is developed, this allows for creativity and reinforcement while allowing personal interests and development to be encouraged and achieved.

My students find me to be very interesting, engaging, friendly, professional, easy-to-under stand and helpful. I achieve these results by providing lessons, programs and activities based on the interests, goals and learning styles of each student. I can provide formal instruction by using prepared lessons or less formal instruction by practicing conversationa l American English. My interests cover a variety of topics. I can work with all age and skill levels and can easily adapt to what is best for each student. My students also find me to be very easy to work with yet still challenging. My programs promote the concept that learning can be fun and educational at the same time.

Teaching Experience

My experience includes being a certified classroom instructor for all ages K-12 in the US. I have also taught high-tech networking courses using Microsoft-dev eloped curriculum as well as basic and intermediate- level computer courses. In addition to computers, other subject areas include English reading, writing and speaking, History, Geography, Economics, Music, Mathematics and Basic Science. I have used predeveloped curriculum but also enjoy developing my own curriculum. I currently teach online courses about the US Stock Market. I have also taught adults with Developmental Disabilities. Over the years, I have been an instructor for very large classes with hundreds of students as well as smaller class sizes with under 10 students. I prefer small-groups and 1-1 teaching and tutoring.

Q. What is your teaching schedule and payment policy?
A. All scheduling and payments are handled through a website that I built and maintain.
Q. Can we talk before I decide to enroll for lessons or tutoring?
A. Yes. It is highly recommended that we set up a time to talk for free on Skype, WhatsApp, Viber, Kakao or any video platform used. We can also talk by voice-only if desired. I do not put a time-limit on our initial “meet-and-gre et” session. I am even open to having more than one free session. I want to give us a chance to get to know each other, answer additional questions and develop a plan. This also allows us to see if working together is mutually beneficial.
