Teaching Approach

As a licensed English teacher since 1988 and native English speaker originally from San Francisco, I have the versatility and background to help even the most advanced level English speakers. My first experience teaching non-native English speakers was as a Fulbright teacher to Estonia from 1993-1994. In addition to being an English teacher, I have worked as a writer and editor. I initially assess the level and learning objectives of the students and then develop the necessary approach and curriculum to get them there.

Program Description

My lessons are tailored to directly address the needs of students and I design my curriculum accordingly. I do not use a "one size fits all" materials. My teaching emphasis is on active use of English for both personal and professional objectives.
