Teaching Approach

After teaching languages for some years I realized that what most students need (and want) are not pages and pages of grammar and vocabulary. What they normally want is to learn the foreing language as easily as they learnt their mother tongue, which means, with continuous communication and (self-)correc tion.

Program Description

My classes mainly focus on communication . After a lesson is explained, we focus on everyday situations in which the student can use that construction. So the student will be learning Spanish similarly to how he/she learnt their first language.

Teaching Experience

I have been teaching languages (Spanish, English and French) for six years. I started as a private tutor in 2009 and ever since I have been teaching at different institutions. In the academic year 2012-2013 I taught Spanish as a Foreign Language to some families in the United Kingdom. Last academic year (2014-2015) I became a Teacher of Spanish at Dickinson College in the United States. There I taught Spanish to over thirty students. I also worked at the Multilingual Writing Center, where I helped students with their essays in Spanish.

Teacher Training

I have a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Malaga. I also have five letters of recommendatio n from Dickinson College, where I worked as a Spanish teacher.
