My lessons are completely oral - there is no reading or writing at all because the spoken language is a completely separate entity from reading and writing. The lessons will start with a greeting and and a rhythm exercise so that the student can become acquainted with the pacing of the English language. I will adapt my lessons to each student's desires. I can teach business English or travel English. I can help the student prepare for an interview or prepare to give a presentation. Each lesson is divided into segments, and each segment is constructivel y evaluated by the teacher so the student can see immediate improvement. The homework given is also speech based, and it consists of exercises for the student to complete during regular, everyday conversations . Progress will be assessed at the next lesson. With my proven methods, the student will see a rapid improvement in their conversationa l English abilities.

Most people who study a foreign language in school find that they have great difficulty with conversation. This is because schools around the world do not take the time to teach spontaneous conversation. This is where I can help you. My English lessons consist of an agenda filled with oral activities punctuated by evaluations by the teacher. I use a lot of music theory in my lessons because I feel that language and music have a lot in common. I will teach you the rhythm and the flow and the nuances of spoken English. I will teach you to listen as well as to speak. I use proven methods that will rapidly increase your communication skills. I will have you speaking English in no time!

I have been a freelance English teacher for many years. I have worked independently as well as for established language schools. I have taught on many platforms including live teaching and Skype. I have taught one-on-one and in groups.

I majored in Linguistics at San Diego State University. I have a Technical Writing Certificate from National University. I am a Toastmaster with an ACS, ACL designation. I have won many public speaking awards. I have studied TESOL at Udemy University, TEFL Bootcamp and English Club. I have been teaching and mentoring ESL students as well as native English speakers for many years.

What is my teaching schedule? I am available Monday through Friday, 8-5, Pacific time. However, I am flexible, and if I can fit it into my schedule, I will be happy to accommodate a particular student's needs.
Wha t is my payment policy? I accept payment through Paypal, and I expect payment before the lesson starts.
Wh at other relevant experience makes me a more effective teacher? I am an award-winning public speaker, and I use many of the best practices of public speaking in my lessons. Most people think of public speaking as giving presentations , but it is so much more than that. A good public speaker knows how to make introductions , how to make announcements , how to engage others, and how to listen (just to name a few skills). I incorporate all of these techniques into my lessons. My students' speaking skills improve rapidly with these techniques.
