Teaching Approach

Because of my studies I have a deep knowledge of the italian language. My previous job experiences in Italy and abroad have made me used to work with very different people coming from all over the world. I work with every level of students (from total beginners to advanced). I can plan lessons and produce my own teaching material using different methods (depending on the level and interests of the students I work with). My teaching style is based on a communicative approach. I think learning a language is not all about grammar. It is a teacher's duty to create an enjoyable environment in the class and make the students interact with each other, trying to develop their communicative skills from the very beginning.

Program Description

I achieved a bachelor in Italian literature and philosophy and being a passionate traveler I have always been interested in teaching my mother language abroad. I attended a teacher training course at the “Leonardo Da Vinci School for foreigners” of Milan and obtained a DITALS level I certificate in 2011. I have moved to London in 2013 and attended the Teacher Training Course of the Italian Cultural Institute of London to teach Italian as a foreign language. During the training we had theoretical lessons in the morning and very practical experiences in the afternoon. I taught to two different classes (one class was of Intermediate students the other of Beginners) and learnt an excellent teaching method.
My CV shows that I can offer a good number of skills which I think make me a good candidate to work with you. I have excellent communicative skills and an open personality. I’ve had various work experiences that had me dealing with different people coming from all over the world: I had to develop attention to details and to their different needs which could be very useful when working with different students. I also am very good in Team Work and have excellent organization skills.

My interest in working with you as a teacher of italian is genuine and I look forward to hearing from you.

I have had 2 classes of 20 students(begi nner and intermediate levels) during my teacher training course at the Italian Cultural Institute of London.

•DITAL S certification : professional qualification for teachers of the Italian language offered by the “University of Siena”, Italy;

•Tr aining for Italian teachers at the school for foreigners “Leonardo da Vinci” of Milan, Italy;

•De gree in Italian literature&ph ilosophy achieved in 2008 at the “University of Verona”, Italy. Score: 105/110;

• A level equivalent achieved in summer 2003 at the “Veronica Gambara teacher-train ing Institute” of Brescia, Italy. Score: 100/100.

I am very flexible. I try to accomodate my students' needs. Usually the students pay me 5/10 lessons in advance (by cash or money transfer). I've had previosu job experiences that gave me the opportunity of working with people from all around the world and this gives me a special ability of being able to deal with different people and needs. I am a very energetic person and my students usually enjoy my approach and my humor.
I always create a very friendly and enjoyable bond with the students and my lessons are very speaking-orie nted.
