I use a multi-media approach to language teaching; incorporating the internet, music, video, film, radio, literature, newspapers etc. My lessons are always learner-centr ed and the style and content depend on learners' needs and aptitudes. As a lifelong language learner I am sensitive to the specific needs of beginners. I try to create a relaxed, comfortable learning space where my students are not stressed out by the language learning process and where there is no right or wrong answer just a language learning opportunity.

I am a native speaker of Swahili. I have extensive teaching experience in Business Studies. I can also provide cultural information for Business travellers and tourists. I can provide conversationa l Swahili classes with up-to-date idiomatic language and usage and I can also provide more formal, structured classes in Swahili Grammar and Language. I can cater for ab initio to Advanced Level learners.

Teaching Experience

From April 2006 to Sept. 2013 I taught Business Studies to Undergraduate s at the University of the Isthmus, Ixtepec City Campus, Ixtepec City, Oaxaca, Mexico.
In this time I also taught an undergraduate course in Swahili Language and Culture on a part-time basis at the Vasconcelos University (UNIVAS), Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, Mexico.
