My teaching approach is based on the Celta Cambridge language diploma. I start with topic based teaching, using orignal material as text or a text from a teaching manual. We look at vocabulary together, we practice both through speaking and writing and check for pronunciation and understanding . I'm not sure my teaching is unique, Cambridge teaching system works too well to what to change it, but I am a happy enthusiastic person and I bring this and my arts background and my creativity to the lessons. My students often laugh in my lessons...som etimes students think I am quite mad but then they comment on how much they have learnt without always being aware of it at the time. I think I make a happy balance between intense hard work and moments of light relief. I hope that students are inspired to continue their study away from the classroom in their own areas of interest but in English.

I teach from home and at St Georges. I am Celta qualified from International House, London. I have 2 years teaching English experience.
I run happy, enjoyable classes where students are inspired to continue their learning outside of the classroom through youtube, through the internet and further study in your own areas of interest. I start with a needs assessment, which includes why you are learning and how you learn. I use recognized teaching systems and have various courses according to ability. I enjoy teaching English and identify with many of the frustrations involved, being an English speaker living in France.

My teaching schedule is flexible.
I ask students to commit to a course of lessons and they pay either weekly or in 6 week blocks for the course.
My previous teaching work in UK running music projects for county education authorities has given me huge experience in running projects, managing large groups of children/adul ts.
I ran music courses for summer music camps so much experience with smaller groups.
I worked as Music Therapist for several years near London, so understand specific learning difficulties and have specific speciality working with people on Autistic/Aspe rgers spectrum.
Si nce moving to France I have had experience working with bi lingual children and bi lingual Arts projects. I have written and directed the music for community theatre events and for large and small scale dance productions in Tours, Blois and Orleans.
My varied experience gives me respect for each pupil and their individual learning style
