I approach instruction in a more informal manner, tailoring the approach to the needs of the student. Different people learn in different ways, and I try to individualize instruction according to circumstances .

Program Description
|

I can create the curriculum or tutor according to a pre-existing curriculum, as needed. I tutor grade school, high school, and up to intermediate college Spanish and English, and have experience with ESLAN for non-native English speakers. I also tutor homeschoolers . For beginners, I focus on pronunciation , conversation and basic functional expression, with grammar following closely. For more advanced individuals, I focus on grammar, syntax, accent, and conjugations.

I tutored Spanish language and English composition at a college in Union, MO for a year. I have also tutored ESLAN in Franklin County for migrant farm workers. I am currently privately tutoring two homeschooled children.

I have had 9 years of personal training in Spanish, complete with 16 credit hours in the field.

The teaching schedule is flexible. I can tutor individuals on weekends and after 5:30 pm on weekdays. In order to tutor before 5:30 pm on weekdays, I will need at least two weeks notice.
Pa yment is typically due after each session, but if another payment schedule works better for you, I can be flexible.
Two years of my training was with a personal tutor, and from experience, I can say that was one of the most helpful parts of my training. I enjoy personal tutoring sessions more than classroom environments and wish to help others gain the opportunity to have the same experience.
