All my classes are student-cente red and personalized according to my
students’ level as well as their interests, goals and learning style. I am aware
of international , social, cultural and political life and I enjoy integrating this in
my lessons. I have been teaching English to students of all ages and levels
for many years and have developed my own courses. The material that the
students need is taken from my extensive library and will be send to the
student before the lesson.
Al l my lessons are based on texts with mp3’s, vocabulary
a nd grammar exercises. The texts are on a wide variety of topics so the
conversa tion is always interesting and you will learn a lot of new words. The
exercise s and the texts are adapted to the individual level of the student.
F or my Exam Preparation classes I use authentic exam material but also a lot
of extra material like podcasts for more listening practice or current
news paper articles for more oral practice. I prepare students for all the major
exams like: Cambridge First Certificate ( FC ), Cambridge Proficiency (CPE ),
IELTS, BULATS,Michig an EEC and ECPE, TOEIC, TOEFL, Edexcel Pearson
(the former London Test of English) and City & Guilds.
I have specialized in general Business English & Dutch but also on special targets
like : Business language for Marketing, Sales, Energy Sector, Human
Resour ces, Tourist sector, IT and a special course for Nurses and Medical
Stud ents as well as a course for the Law student.
F or younger learners I have a course that is specially designed for children.

My name is Jose Louwes, I’m a native English and Dutch speaker. I have a
native knowledge of Greek and a basic knowledge of German and French.
I hold a BA degree in English Literature as well as a teaching degree in both
Dutch and Greek. Four years ago I also obtained my degree as an Online
Tutor from Lancelot.

I was born in the Netherlands but have been living in Greece for the last 23 years. I have studied English Literature at the VU university of Amsterdam. I hold a BSc. in English Literature from the VU in Amsterdam. A teaching degree in Dutch obtained from the teachers college in Amsterdam as well as a Greek teaching degree. A diploma of Proficiency in the English Language of the University of Michigan.
