Teaching Approach

I like to use authentic materials and believe in using a variety of resources in improving the students abilities in the 4 main language learning ares, reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Program Description

I am a qualified language teacher and have years experience teaching in schools. I believe in an informal approach and tailoring lessons to suit the need of the student.

Teaching Experience

I have been a secondary school teacher for three years and an english foreign language instructor for a year in Japan.

Teacher Training

I hold a BA in German and Spanish as well as a post graduate certificate in secondary education.
I am registered in the UK on the General Teaching Council of England and I am registered here at the Queensland College of teachers.
I belong to the National Union of Teachers (UK).

Frequently Asked Questions

I am available to teach most evening and some days.

I ask for cash at the end of the lesson for every lesson or up front for a series of lessons (10 or more, at a reduced rate).

I have also tutored privately for many years with excellent results!

I like to meet the student for a coffee before lessons start to see if we are both happy with each other!

Cost of Lessons

My lessons cost approx $50. I may lower the cost for booking block (10 or more) lessons and also if there is more than 1 student in the group.
I may up the cost for travel expense or for the amount of work/printing needed for say intense business language lessons or if I need to print many exam papers!
