Teaching Approach

I have many years' experience of teaching Latin and Ancient Greek, gained at leading independent schools in the UK. I believe in making sure students understand the grammatical structure of both languages since this provides sound foundations on which to build when tackling the works of Classical authors. I like to emphasise the many links between Latin / Ancient Greek and modern languages, and think it important to set the language teaching within the cultural and historical context of the time.

Program Description

I offer one to one tuition in Latin and Ancient Greek. I have some 25 years' experience of teaching both Latin and Greek. I worked at leading Independent schools in the UK prior to moving to Asia. I currently work with pupils preparing them for entrance to UK schools and tutor in Common Entrance / Scholarship entrance / (I)GCSE and A Level.

Teaching Experience

Over 25 years' experience in teaching Latin and Ancient Greek from beginner to advanced level. Worked at leading independent schools in the UK prior to moving to Asia.
