After an MA in Oriental Languages and Literature (Asian Studies / Sinology) at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, I studied Chinese in Beijing. (University of Traffic and Communication ) 北É 40;交 6890;大& #23398;
In China, I have been working more than three years in the field of language education (FLE, FOS) and culture at the University of Traffic and Communication of Beijing and the UTSEUS (School of Engineering) of the University of Shanghai. (Courses and intensive summer courses)
I n Cambodia, I have worked as adviser at the development of an educational plan for the creation of a French department for the Meanchey University (MCU).
Motiv ation:
Traini ng in Sinology (master-dea Oriental Languages and Literature) and Development is mainly training in anthropology and political science. It trained me to analyze a particular context. Analyze things in depth and act thoughtfully, this is the crux of cultural cooperation. The years abroad have made me an attentive observer.
Once completed my study in China, I worked in the teaching of foreign languages. It allowed me to stay more and build intercultural experience. Taught me how and what to teach in Asia. (This is very important to avoid major misunderstand ings).
Under the position held in Cambodia, having worked directly within a structure dependent on the local government allowed me to have an entirely different view on the "local" education system than an NGO member, working in conjunction with this administratio n. (This is the case with most foreigners working in developing countries).
My experience in Asia allows me to analyze the global challenges of French teaching in foreign countries, abroad through the lens of another culture: this makes me an attentive teacher, with good theoretical knowledge practices and common approaches.
