The first step in mastering a foreign language, is in gaining the confidence to use it! Many of my students come to me, with high anxiety due to the fear of using the wrong verb tense - the fear of being misunderstood . The thing which I enjoy most, about my classes, is helping students gain the confidence required to learn and use English. The other unique aspect, is that all of my classes are written specifically for the individual, gaining maximum individual gain from them.

Program Description

The English Courses I do, are completely aimed at servicing your own individual needs. Throughout the past three and a half years, I have taught numerous people - with numerous backgrounds, levels and requirements - with quite successful results. Normally, I will do an assessment based on your own needs, and then create a program that includes a lot of conversation, targeted at your interest and language level. For those who require grammar, or special business needs, I create written exercises, tasks and/or requirements to help inform you, as well as give you a concrete indicator of how your improvement is. For those who want practical usage, I have programs tailored to put your English skills to practise (learning by doing).

Teaching Experience

|
For Business English: I have taught a group of professionals from a computer soft and hardware company for three years. The schedule has included conversation relevant to each specific position within the company, grammar, reading, writing and powerpoint presentations . For the last four years, I have taught a number of secretaries within Germany, each course containing telephoning, customer service, email, fax and letter writing. I have taught a number of accountants, an engineer, staff working in media promotions and human resources. The English levels have ranged from very basic to quite fluent.
For General English: I have taught a group of eager learners, the basics in "holiday English; I have taught basic English to a pair of students without any formal English education; I have been an English tutor for a number of highschool students who wish to improve their grades.

As a Tertiary Study, I did a Diploma of Illustrative Photography, majoring in Fine Art and Photojournali sm. The Photojournali sm component had major units in English, writing and communication . This study was completed in 1999, at Photography Studies College, Melbourne, Australia
I belong to kmp. Sprachenservi ce, a language company in Germany.

What is my Teaching Schedule?
I am very flexible, as an English teacher. I am normally available at the following times:
Monda y: business hours
Tuesda y: 12:00-18:30
Wednesday: 12:00-22:00
Thursday: 12:00-18:30
Friday: 10:00-20:00
Saturday: 10:00-16:00
What is my payment policy?
At the end of each month, I send an invoice containing all the relevant costs to you. Payment can be done directly into my account (detailed on the invoice), by the 15th of that month (ie. after 4 classes in March, the invoice for 4 classes is due by the 15th of April).
What makes me an effective teacher?
U nderstanding. I have been teaching for some time now, and am quite good at finding the individual key that helps the individual learner. Also, I have been learning a foreign language myself - so I can readily empathise and encourage when the obvious difficulties arise.

For Conversation Training: €30/hour
Thi s includes a written assessment for each individual at the end of each month.
For Practical Course: €40/hour
Thi s includes some written material, as well as relevant excursions where the language can be put to use. An assessment for each student is provided at the end of each month. Personal costs (ie. dinner or drinks) must be paid for by the student
Fo r Complete Language Course: €50/hour
Thi s includes written class material, periodical testing, some practical excursions, and a written assessment at the end of each month.
