Born in Russia, I am linguist by education and professional teacher. I have a degree in Teaching Russian and German as Foreign language from the Pedagogical Academy of Sterlitamak in Russia and have over 4 years experience of teaching in both Russian and German.
I started my career teaching Russian and German in a gymnasium in Russia, followed by various teaching posts in Russia.
Duri ng my Russian teaching career I have worked with students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced learners.

A good honours graduate in Russian and German languages with supporting qualification s in literature and pedagogic. Recent teaching experience in primary and secondary schools, summer language camps. Keen to contribute to other aspects of school life, particularly sport, IT.
I aim to develop conversationa l skills by working on various role-play situations, and explain and practise grammar. We discuss literature, history, watch TV programmes, sing songs.
To maintain high professional standarts I continuously work on improving my teaching and translating skills by attending seminars, courses, workshops etc.

I am a friendly and creative teacher. During my Russian teaching career I have worked with students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced learners.
I use an individual approach and tailor Russian lessons to suit clients` needs. I aim to develop conversationa l skills by working on various role-play situations, and explain and practice grammar. I believe that without a sound understanding of grammar students are unable to progress beyond phrase-book standart and have very little chance of understanding conversation. With advanced students we discuss literature, history and current affairs based on newspapers articles and watching TV news. We practice conversation, grammar patterns and phonetics.
I have also a lot of experience with children aged 3-7 in and out of school environments, in the summer camp.
I am flexible, and can work the days/hours.
I live in Droylsden, Manchester and can travel in Manchester/ Greater Manchester area. I am happy to travel to students` homes or for them to come to me.
