I have been an english teacher in Italy for about five years.
I have been doing private tutoring, I have taught for a year in a Primary school in Milano, during holidays periods with a language school abroad and for a High School in Pavia, Grandi Scuole.
I have been an Italian teacher in England for a few months, since I have relocated in Oakham, East Midland, from Italy.

I have a Doctorate in "Lingue e Letterature Straniere", taken at the University of Pavia, Italy and teaching qualification s, which mean basically that I am not just a native speaker of Italian, but I am also aware of the different teaching techniques.
I would be glad to teach on a one-to-one basis or to small grups of people.
On my opinion the first aim of a teacher is to understand the person that is in front of him , the reason why the student wants to learn the language and his interest, so that he can motivate the learner more, using, when teaching, the topics that he likes more.

First I would assess the learner to estabilish the level they are currently at and discuss their needs or wants, as to the level they wish to reach. Then I would set a step-by-step plan especially structured to reach the level wanted by the learner in a certain amount of hours, personalising it around their personal intersts, requirements and needs.
