Teaching Approach

The method I find the most effective is the immersion method. This kind of method basically revolves around the principle that if you constantly communicate with the student in the language that he/she is trying to learn without depending so much on translation with his/her native tongue then the student can learn the language the same way a child learns his/her native language.

Program Description

I'm a Filipino-Amer ican currently studying at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. I grew up in L.A. but moved here two years ago for college. English is my native language and I can teach you the English that Americans use in conversation and in everyday activities.

Teaching Experience

I currently teach at a Japanese language school here in Quezon City.

Teacher Training

I graduated high school in L.A. and took up Advance Placement English Language and Composition and Advance Placement English Literature during my last two years of high school respectively. I scored the highest possible on both tests. My SAT is a 1930. I am currently a BS Chemistry major at U.P. Diliman

Payment should be made right after the class. My schedule is a little bit tight but I can squeeze in lessons at night.

Cost of Lessons

300-500 per hour depending on what kind of teaching approach the student wants. The price is quite negotiable. If the student knows Mandarin and wants to teach me in exchange for English lessons then the lessons are free.
