Teaching Approach

My approach is using total immersion through conversation, reading and writing. I also use authentic music and video/DVD in the target language.

Program Description

My lessons and programs that I use are same material the local high schools and colleges are using. This material is geared toward levels Spanish 1 and 2 and 3.

Teaching Experience

I have taught elementary Spanish to K-5th grade students for 5 years at a local private school.

In the public sector, I taught Spanish 1 to middle school students for 3 years and Spanish 1 and 2 for high school students.

Teacher Training

I am a California Credentialed teacher for Single-Subjec t Spanish. My teaching credential is from Cal State Long Beach.

My B.A. in Spanish is from the University of Southern California (USC).

Paym ent is due at the end of each lesson. Check is preferable but cash is welcome.

I will travel up to 1 hour away from my home in South Torrance.

What other relevant experience makes you a more effective teacher?
I have private tutored in people's home for many years. Also, I served a volunteer service mission where I worked with Spanish speakers for a year and a half.

My cost range is from $35-$50 per hour--dependi ng on the nature of the lessons and driving distance.
