Teaching Approach

The conversationa l method is an interactive one. The student talks as much as possible and the teacher corrects when convenient. The objective is to simulate real life situations. This also makes the student feel more active during the lesson and makes it more fun and less school-like.

Program Description

My method of teaching is mostly conversationa l. I have been studying linguistics and Latin and Greek for some time now, so I do add grammatical explanations here and there, of course. Reading and writing are always necessary when learning any language, but these are usually not the main focus.

Teaching Experience

I have been teaching for the past 10 years. I was a tutor in New York, at CCNY (a college in the north part of the city), a teacher in several language schools in Paris, and here in Tel-Aviv I have been teaching in Berlitz, the Open University and in two High Schools, one in Givataim, the other in Petach Tikva.

Teacher Training

I have an M.A in linguistics and French as a foreign language. I am currently doing my Phd. in ancient languages (Latin and Greek). I also teach French and am fluent in Italian and German.
