I use a mixture of different methods, but what I love the most is the communicative approach. Students are stimulated to interact using the target language. I love to use role plays and activities that encourage learners to use the spoken language. Grammar is taught through this method, with a variety of exercises to reinforce what just acquired in class.

I'm a certificate teacher, my DITALS diploma has been issued by University of Siena for Foreigners.
My lesson plan varies according to the learner's needs. I prefer small classes, where the atmosphere is joyious and receptive. In this environment the learner is more motivated and stimulated.
Private lessons are important too for individuals with busy schedule or looking for more flexibility. In both cases I can adapt the lesson to the student's situation. I provide different materials, such mp3, realia, and several activities you can't find in one single textbook.

Teaching Experience

I've been teaching Italian for more than 3 years, everything started for fun during a study semester in California back in 1999, then I stopped for a while. Few years later, when I decided to study in order to get a teacher's certificate, this became my profession.
I've accomplished this goal in 2008, when I received my DITALS certificate by University of Siena for Foreigners.
I've taught to different students from different countries, I've worked for Xiamen University, later for a private canadian language school, for Nanjing Southeast University and Nanjing Forestry University. I've also private students and classes.

Depending on my schedule I can arrange different lessons per week. Usually I'm free in the morning and early afternoon for private lessons, and in the evening for classes.

You need to buy the textbook, I can suggest you the best ones but you are free to choose what you prefer.
Extra materials are free of charge.
