My name is Jonathan, and I am an undergraduate student at Liberty University. I have very little knowledge of the language, but I am very interested and excited about pursuing studies in order to speak and write efficiently. The reason I am interested in learning arabic is to open up the opportunities for a career after schooling. I am interested in partaking in either Middle Eastern studies or foreign policy for graduate school, and having a residency within the D.C. metro area I understand the level of inportance for acquiring such a dialect. I am looking for someone who is willing to work with me two to three times a week for over the summer, and either through computer based communication or throughout breaks and weekends during the fall and spring semesters while I am away at school. It is but only a 3 hour drive from my University, so even meeting on weekends every so often would be fine. I am very dedicated and committed to pursuing this, and the price per session is not a problem. In the lessons, I am not looking for anything paticularly yet because of my lack of knowledge concerning the subject. I would feel very confident if I could achieve the basic grammer, reading and writing for over the summer (if not more) and then work with conversation and translation. I am more than willing to pick up any outside materials that would be beneficial to the course, and on my honor I will do my best to work with the teacher on all aspects.
