I am a complete beginner who would desperately like to learn arabic as quickly and as precisely as possible. I would aim for approximately four hours a week in lessons if possible but i am open to instruction upon what is most advantageous. My reasons are numerous: because i have a close friend whos first language is arabic (he has taught me some of the absolute basics), because whenever i can go on holiday i go to arabic speaking countries, and because of the current political climate i am desperate to a) be able to read Arabic newspapers for a fair and better understanding of what is going on b)hopefully participate politically.
I am looking for a teacher who is rigorous, patient and with a lively interest in politics.
