My name is Emma Lipshut and I am interested in learning spanish. I have lived in Mexico for the past 8 months and returned about 3 months ago. Although I learnt some basic spanish while over there, I am very keen to continue learning the language as I have developed a great interest in learning to speak another language. I also wish to return someday soon to Mexico.
I was wanting lessons maybe twice a week, and preferable private lessons or in a very small class. I am looking to really practise conversationa l spanish and to learn grammer and tenses to be able to construct correct sentences and to hold more meaningful conversations .
I am looking for a teacher who encourages me to try to use only spanish while in the lessons and to to try to have conversations with me throughout each lessons, rather than straight off a text book or blackboard.
How much would private lessons cost and would the teacher travel to me?
I would love it if you could email me some information about your lessons.

The languages I have put down are not ones that I am currently learning but ones that I would like to learn. I am unable to study all the languages I want to through university so I need to find language teachers.
I am a beginner in all the languages listed above (though I may know a word or two!) and am intersted in learning spoken and written language with emphasis on grammar to gain a better functional understanding and use of the language. I would be available about once a week, and am looking for affordable lessons (that is, less than $40 a lesson).
And I'd of course like a teacher who's friendly and approachable, and wouldn't make me cry :).

Dear prospective teachers,
I have long loved the Spanish culture including music, dance and way of life. Despite this I have always been an observer. Lately I have read books with great hints on Spanish language and much information on Spanish history and culture.
I therefore now consider myself a beginner, and want to speak Spanish fluently. I plan to spend time in Spain within the next year or two. I may live there eventually.
I am able to spend an hour or two, a couple of evenings per week in classes, and more time reading books on the language.
I want my teacher to have ideas 'outside the square' which may trigger faster learning or 'easier to remember' methods.
