I have been studying Arabic for 5 months at the Berlitz school. The emphasis at Berlitz is speaking as opposed to reading and writing. I am learning the Middle Eastern dialect (Gulf Dialect) and am able to communicate in a limited way with Arabic speakers. I am continuing to study at Berlitz, however, I am looking to study/ practice outside of class. I am also looking enhance my reading and writing skills. I am looking at tutoring sessions once or twice a week. I have a fairly flexible schedule.

I speak Arabic, Russian, Dutch, and would like to learn french and Mandarin. My Arabic is intermediate, Russian is intermediate (I have forgotten a lot), Dutch intermediate. I study all of these languages and require teachers who are skilled at teaching without using much english.

I am interested in learning Arabic but am not exactly sure which one. I noticed that there is a choice of 4 different Arabic languages but I do not know the difference between them. I would obviously like to learn the one that is the most widely used .
I am interested in group lessons ( as opposed to private lessons ) and would like to know whether those would be available , where they would be held , the duration of a session & the cost involved .
