The reason why I want to learn Spanish is because I want to be paid higher than I am being paid today. Multi-lingual or bi-lingual call center agents are paid double the usual rates. I can speak fluent English but needs to learn another foreign language like Spanish. I had Spanish 1 - 4 when I was in College but none of it stuck or was retained. So, I still consider myself a beginner. I want to be a conversationa list in Spanish with good accent and with excellent Spanish grammatical foundation. I wan to spend as much time as it needs to learn and speak the language fluently. I need a teacher who is patient and is very keen in teaching the language effectively. Knowledge transfer is the key!

I want to be able to speak conversationa lly in Spanish.
I took 3 years of Spanish in High School many years ago. And our teachers didn't teach well then.
I've recently started learning the language again.
I want to concentrate on speaking it, instead of linguistic rules.
I don't want to spend too much time learning it. Maybe just a weekend.
I'm looking for a teacher who can build quickly upon what I already know.
The teacher should be able to answer questions as well.
I've tried speaking to people who's speak both English and Spanish fluently but for some reason they have a hard time answering questions about Spanish.
I'm looking for a teacher with experience in answering questions and can get me up to speed talking to people.
I know that vocabulary takes a long time to learn, but I'm looking for basic communication skill development.. .not proficiency.

My husband and I have had some instruction in spanish during high school and college. We need to refresh our memories and build on the basics. We plan to travel to Peru and Panama this summer and would like to work on our spanish before then. We are also interested in learning spanish for work and overall self improvement. We could meet once (possibly twice) a week for lessons.

There are two primary motivations for learning Spanish. The first is business and the ability to speak the language in business meetings.The second is to satisfy the degree requirements for a PhD.
My proficiency level is beginner thus, all learning will be incremental.
I am willing to commit two-three hours a week to personal lessons.
The teacher ideally will be patient and have a since of humor. In addition, it is essential that the teacher have some experience teaching adults and thus, understand the nuances praying on a student of this nature.
