I am a software business professional with advanced beginner level Japanese conversation skills (I only read hiragana and katagana, no kanji yet). I lived in Tokyo from 2000 to 2002 as a business journalist. My current job requires a lot of communication with Japanese companies with some business trips to Japan. I would like a teacher who can give me organized grammar lessons from a textbook while also customizing lessons to suit my business needs. I would like someone who challenges me and gives me tests. I really need to build up my vocabulary and start improving my reading skills too. Ideally, I am looking for a teacher who has some professional teaching experience with some business background, but I am very flexible. Once or twice a week I would like to have 90 minute (flexible) lessons either at my downtown Los Angeles office or at some other private location.

I am a Swiss citizen of French mother tongue, fluent in English and Italian. Apart of being a consultant dealing with project in China I am a great admirer of Chinese civilization and culture.
