I am a beginner Arabic student. I taught myself how to write the script and some grammar, but still I am a long way from knowing how to speak. I like Arabic very much and would like to at least make myself understood to Arabic speakers and understand them in return. Someday I would like to travel to the Middle East and explore the culture in its original place. I am willing to spend a great deal of time learning the language providing that the cost is reasonable and the teacher teaches me well.
I like teachers who have a good teaching methodology, who can be fun and at the same time respect themselves.

Your proficiency level: I am past beginner but not yet at intermediate. I can read speak and write Arabic, but my vocabulary is limited and my grammar/verb conjugation needs work.
Why you are learning your foreign language: I think Arabic is a beautiful language. I hope to one day work as a translater/in terpreter.
The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement: All areas really :)
How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons: I would like to meet for one hour a day, in the evenings, at least three days a week.
What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher: I would prefer a native speaker of Arabic. I do not care if the instructor is male or female.
