I am a native french speaker that have already learned english and spanish in the previous years. Now I want a new big challenge, learning Mandarin!
Why I want to learn mandarin? First because it will be usefull for me in a future career in international marketing. Second, I am going to Asie from January to September 2010 and I might visit China for a few weeks. I want to be able to at least communicate basically with the Chinese people. Finally, I am actually working with Chinese and Montreal and I would like to be able to talk a bit to them in Mandarin.
I am a complete beginner so I am looking for an introduction course to Mandarin language, especially the speaking. I am not very flexible in the availabilitie s but I wish to find a teacher that could offer me lessons in small group about 3 to 5 hours per week, once or twice a week from now to end of December.

My proficiency is little to none. I have a small foundation of the language from when I took some lessons in high school, but I have forgotten much of it.
I would like to dedicate one lesson a week, with homework of course.

i would like to learn how to speak arabic because my mother's family is from egypt.

I am a beginner in terms of learning Icelandic but I have until May 2010 before I leave to Reykjavik for a three month residency.
