I speak only a few words/phrases of slovak. When I visited Slovakia for the first time 8 years ago I was taught a very basic collection of everyday phrases, some of which i still remember,some i have forgotten.
I would like to learn the language to a conversationa l level as I have Slovak friends both in Cardiff and in Slovakia itself.
I would probably prefer lessons to be once a week/fortnigh t,but I am open to discuss this as I am fairly flexible in this regard.
I feel I would prefer lessons in a group situation but if a one-to-one situation is what is on offer then it would be acceptable.

I am a beginner to the Slovak language. I am strongly intereseted in learning the language as quickly and proficiently as possible. I am bilingual in Spanish and have a dream of learning 7 languages fluently. My third language will be Slovak because I have family there. I am also applying to docotrate programs for linguistics, and would like to have at least 4 languages upon entering, although they only require 3.
I need to start at step one. I would like to become proficient, so I would expect to be learning grammar, conversation, spelling, etc, as I study. I would love a teacher that would use primarily, if not all, Slovak. The challenge is welcome, and I am eager to learn.
