I do not have any prior experience in learning languages other than english. I am interested in learning other languages as a hobby and so when I go travelling next year I will be able to communicate more effectively in another country. I am looking for a tutor for private lessons, who has been immersed in the culture of the language they are teaching. I do not wish to be advanced in speaking another language, but good enough to make conversation and be able to read and understand the language.

I wish to learn Spanish as we are going to Madrid in May and most of the people in the area we will be living don't speak English.My Husband is there on business and is having lessons there as part of his work requirement and I have already been over there once and found it very diffucult to communicate with everyone.I would be a beginner.
I would like to get an idea of prices and how many lessons I would need to have between now and May.Thank you for any help that you may be able to provide.I'm 53yrs of age.
