I am a beginner in learning Chinese Mandarin. I do have a general understanding of the tones and some basic words and phrases. I am only interested in learning to speak it at this point in time. This is mainly to help with my work at a company here in China. I would like to start out with the basic grammar and basic conversation. I would like to spend 6-8 hours weekly in learning Chinese. I would like a classroom-sty le aproach where I can be responsible to meet definite goals and marks (have tests) towards my progress in the language. But, because of travel requirements on my schedule, I am open to having a one-on-one tutor that I can meet with about 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). I would like to meet in the Suzhou New District.

I am a beginner when it come's to learning 'Russian' and would like to learn the language very much.I have visited Moscow on several occasion's and find the culture and people very interesting.I also have a few russian friends,so it would be nice to speak to them in their native tongue rather than english all the time.Maybe twice weekly would be an ideal start6 to my learning?.I am only here for a few months more so 'street Russian' would be beneficial i think?.I am an eager learner so this would not be a waste of time to my tutor.

I just moved to Shanghai to find a job. My English and French is fluent, but I have no prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese.
I have a set of Tao-chung Yao and Yuehua Liu's 'Integrated Chinese' (level 1 and 2 with textbooks, workbooks and tapes).
Fo r the time being my schedule is flexible. Ideally, I want a teacher who is able to teach me Mandarin 2-4 hours 3-4 days a week.
I would appreciate that my teacher has prior teaching experience and references.
