I'm a beginner Hindi student and have had trouble keeping myself motivated to learn it on my own outside of a structured learning environment. I'm interested in learning because my fiance enjoys Bollywood movies and music.
I would like to learn Hindi vocabulary, grammar, pronounciatio n, cultural context, and the Devanagari syllabary. I'd like to take 1-2 hours of lessons per week along with 2-4 hours of supplemental homework outside of class.
Because I work during the day, the lessons would need to take place either mornings or evenings. My work schedule rules out classes at ASU because those classes take place in the middle of the work day.
I'm looking for a teacher who speaks Hindi fluently and who knows the parts of speech (noun, verb, adjective, etc.). My fiance will help with homework.
