I am interested in learning Japanese, Korean, and in time, Mandarin Chinese. I have always been interested in Eastern Asian culture and would like to be able to understand and communicate in these languages.
In all three languages, I am relatively a beginner. I can read and write in Hangul, however, my understanding of the language is limited to a few phrases. In Japanese, I am able to have a basic conversation (Hello, nice to meet you, how are you, who, what), but I can read and write very little of the language. I have had a few Mandarin classes in the past, but I am still a beginner; I can only read and write three characters, and can have a VERY basic conversation in the language.

I want to inquire on how much is per hour for a korean tutor? How many lessons will it be? Do we need some books as well?
I really love to learn this language. I myself, tried learning it on my own through watching Korean movies (which I am really engrossed with) and by browsing the net.But I believe it's much easier to learn when you can practice on a normal conversation using the language.
