I have taken two years of spanish at university in the United States. I have come to Madrid in order to get TEFL certification and teach english as a foreign language. I have been in Madrid only a few days but I feel that I cannot communicate well or understand much when people speak to me in spanish. I feel that I am at a beginner level but I can understand much more when I see the words written out. I am looking for a spanish teacher to work with me one on one. I would like to focus especially on conversation and listening comprehension , as well as verb forms and tenses.

I love learning; especially languages. I am half Puerto-Rican and have tried to learn Spanish on many different occasions and where I've managed to pick up quite a bit...it's not enough. I believe I am currently in the middle of the beginner-inte rmediate level. I would like to be fluent at a conversationa l level. I am will to dedicate as much time as needed so that I can learn quickly. I will be going to PR in the near future and would like to feel like I belong.
