Dear Tutor:
For the past two years I have been working on a project pertaining to Russian history and culture. For my own pleasure and career, I would like to begin learning this language. I am looking for a competent and trustworthy teacher who is available to meet often. The skills I wish to achieve include reading, writing, and conversation starting with a beginner level. I am available week days as well as weekends, but would like to meet several times per week at my home if possible. In addition, I would like to incorporate Russian based material such as films, music, and literature into my understanding of this culture when advisable.

I am from the Ukraine and speak russian since childhood however I moved to the US at an early age and never learned how to properly read or write. I slowly picked up reading on my own but mostly need practice will grammar and sentence structure. I am doing this so for personal reasons as well as to possibly move back to the Ukraine.

I like to travel and have been to the former USSR countries and would like to learn more of the language.
I know very few words in Russian but have learned some of the proper sounds.
I need to learn every thing.
Lesso ns 1 to 2 hours a week, and study an hour daily.
