I'm a beginner in each language. I have no experience with either of the three, and want to start with the basics and work my way up the proficency scale at a fairly rapid but not demanding pace. I am looking to learn these for career advancement, and I can dedicate as many hours as needed for tutoring. I'm looking for lessons that will actually make a difference, and make me close to a native speaker. I want them to be very in-depth and accurate.

I had two years of Russian at Columbia University and I've worked in Russia for a total of 5 months. I really want to improve my vocabulary and my conversationa l Russian. I need Russian for both personal and professional reasons. I want a teacher who is willing to work with me for 3-5 hours a week and will particularly help me converse better.

First: North Wales is Philadelphia.
I want to study:
Spa nish (intermediate )
and
Russia n (intermediate , learned it 6 years, but forgot nearly everything)
or
Japanease (Beginner!!, Just for interest)
or
French (Beginner, began twice and ended because of time)
I spended so much time in Spanish that I don't want to loose it now. I'm sure there will be the day when I nead it for business!
The others are more for fun, but I study hard if I began.

*Absolute beginner
*I will be applying for a grad school program to study Central Asia in the winter and I will need to have Russian language skills for the program.
*Al l areas need improvement
*1-2 hours per week of lesson and I will study intensively on my own.

I am currently studying French as a major at UCF. I'm also studying Italian and Russian through school and Swedish on the side. I am confident in my French and Italian, but my Russian and Swedish can definately use improvement. Russian grammar and pronunciation are my hardest points.
I'm studying languages to one day work overseas. I plan on volunteering with either the Peace Corp or Medecins Sans Frontieres upon receiving a BA. I hope to one day be employed with the United Nations. I dedicate as much time as possible to learning languages. I currently work in a tourist area at a high-end luggage boutique, which brings in many foreigners and allows me to practice conversation. I listen to books on cd (usually French or Russian) while driving. The most effective way I've found to learn languages is to watch movies my favorite movies in other languages.
