Hi my name is Kate Ridenour. Although I took a semester of French in high school, I am a beginner and know virtually no French. I have a B.A. in Spanish which will undoubtly help in learning another latin based language.
I am in the process of applying to the peace corp. Many of the placements I am interested in are in French speaking Africa and some knowledge is required in order to win the positions. Furthermore, I simply have a great love for languages.
The amount of time I will be able to spend in classes is largely contigent on the cost. My budget is very very tight.
Important qualities in a teacher are that they speak the language with well and with a good accent and possesion of patience.
