Hello,
My name is Katy and I am a young professional in Washington, D.C. working in the government. I learned French in High School, first year through Advanced Placement but have not been able to practice since. In college I also took Italian, which is now significantly stronger than my French. I am also originally from Russia, so my native languages are Russian and English.
W hile I am not a beginner, I will need a lot of review of grammar and basic vocabulary. I am able to understand and read moderately well, however, speaking is at a lower level because I have not had much practice over the past few years.
I would like to increase my conversationa l and grammar proficiency.
I have a really hectic schedule at work, and so will most likely be only able to devote some time during the weekend for language lessons.
I am looking for a native French speaker. It would be great if the teacher could discuss art and fashion, current and past foreign relations, as well as literature and traveling.
