I have been studying Irish for a semester now, and I am actually going to Oideas Gael in July for a one-week immersion class. Before I head off to Donegal, I was hoping to continue to work on my Irish through one-on-one classes with an Irish instructor. Just a bit more info about me: I am a PhD student in English Literature at the University of Connecticut, and I am learning Irish as part of my PhD requirements. Therefore while conversationa l Irish and pronunciation are important, I also must pass a written translation exam.

I don't know the level of my swahili as I have never been tested, although I would probably describe it as approaching intermediate, which I would like to continue to develop, both for career and travel reasons. I was recently based in Kenya for nearly two and a half years, so I have mainly developed a Kenyan style of swahili.
I would like to attend regular lessons, perhaps up to 2 per week, as I want to progress quickly.
As to whether I want individual or group lessons, depends upon the costs involved with each option.

Hello - this site looks quite old (and all the ads for Tamil teachers are from 2008) but JUST IN CASE someone gets this....I am looking for a Tamil teacher.
I am 41 years old, and my wife is Tamilian. We now have a little daughter (5 months)...and I want her to learn Tamil (her mother's tongue).
H aving said this....I DON'T want her to be able to speak behind my back! More seriously, as a family we spend two months every year in Chennai....so it would be nice to learn the language properly.
My wife is helping me learn, but it will be useful to have some formal lessons (also my wife has not learned Tamil formally so struggles sometimes to explain grammatical rules etc). Please get in touch if this reaches you.
