I am in an upper level Arabic course at Brandeis University. However, I am going through my 5th teacher in 3 years and I feel as though I am struggling. Furthermore, while I generally understand grammar, I have a lot of trouble understanding vocabulary and i'raab (voweling) because it was taught to me so late. At least half the tutorring session should be practicing vocab and the other half should deal with grammar.

Hello language teachers of Arabic, my name is Eid Waber. I am very interested to learn Arabic for the main purpose of understanding the Quran. I am currently learning how to read the Quran. The extent of my knowledge is the alphabet as far as my experience is concerned. i am looking forward to learning grammar and conversationa l material. I am very eager to begin learning as soon as possible. Among wanting to understand the Quran in its Arabic form I would eventually like to travel abroad one day, so this would be of great use. I am currently a college student, however I am willing to put in the dedication and time to be successful with your guidance. Also as far as qualities I am looking for in a teacher, they include experience, confidence, patience, understanding , being supportive, and the ability to explain concepts in different ways. I am looking forward to getting started in good time.

I am studying Farsi (beginner level) in order to learn the vocal Radif, study the classical Persian poets, and travel in Iran. I seek to develop perfect conversationa l and formal fluency and a thorough knowledge of literary conventions.
