Growing up I've always wanted to learn Japanese and so when I found out about exchange programs, I got excited. Although even though now it may be a little bit too late, I am now trying to learn as much Japanese until next year, so I can go to a Japanese school for year 12. I only know a few words and have no clue on how to keep a conversation going. Any kind of help would be amazing. I am willing to study for long periods of time, but it may be a little hard since I'm always tired but I am quite desperate to learn. It would be nice to have a teacher that isn't too strict but sort of firm enough to have high expectations of me, even if its to give me homework then I'm definitely willing to do it! Calling people does make me a bit nervous because I have social anxiety and just calling people worry me but I'm trying to gain my confidence and trying to get out of my comfort zone.

I would like to learn Punjabi at a conversationa l level (at least to start with) as I am Indian Australian and some of my family speak Punjabi. There is also a growing Punjabi speaking population in my area. I am a beginner and would be happy to spend one to two hours a week in lessons. I am looking for a teacher with patience and someone who will correct pronunciation .
I am also interested in learning Levantine Arabic for the purposes of communicating with people in my local area.
