I am learning my foreign languages because I like to travel and I enjoy the cultural aspects of immersion while traveling. I have taken 3 semesters of Russian (up to Russian level 3 out of 5), 2 semesters of French (French 2 out of 4) and I have been studying Italian independently while living in Italy so I know the basics of that language. I need to learn fluency in all of the languages, but I do not want to rely on software or textbooks because I do not believe it is the 'real' or modern form of the spoken language. I will dedicate as much time as is necessary to become fluent and to continue my studies.
