I do not know any spanish other than the customary. I have always wanted to learn another language and now that there is so many latinos in our fair city, I figured now was a good time. my mother is from Colombia and even though i understand about 85% when someone is speaking to me i can only reply with about 40%.I'm planning a trip to colombia next year and un like last trip I'd like to be able to hold a conversation with my family.

I live in North West Spain (Galicia) and have a Spanish wife of 6 years now however we have been together for 17 years. I have a good level of Spanish but now workig in UAE i´m concerned that this will soon start to suffer as my wife is still in Spain. Previously i was studying for the National Language School Certificate but had to stop to take up my new post here in Dubai.
Ideally i´d like acouple of hours a week and have some homework set for me to get back on track with my written, reading and oral Spanish. I can make myself understood but there are always a few grammatical errors that works love to erase.
