I am a begginer and I want to learn because I have a friend that's Korean, plus I want to visit really badly. Please!I also want to go to a school there when I am older so I need to know the language! I can spend about a few hours a week on it. I barely know any words but I want to learn really badly. I am looking for a teacher who has patience and speaks both languages fluently. I also need one who doesn't charge a lot of money.

Hello my name is Emily and I am 15 years old. I have chosen to study Korean and Mandarin Chinese because I am interested in the cultures and language. I also believe this will aid me in college prep and entrance requirements, not to mention my future career plan to be an ESL teacher.
At the moment my Korean and Chinese are almost non-existant, so I'll need help on everything. I'ved been trying to self teach myself through books and online chatting.
I am willing to dedicate quite a bit of my time to this endeavor as it is something that I am truely interested in.
Some qualities I am looking for in a teacher are: a strong desire to teach and a good student repoir, strong organization, variety in lesson plans, excellent English language proficiency, sense of humor and approachabili ty/ease of interaction.
